Can we talk about castor oil?

Why am I just now getting on the Castor Oil bandwagon? Am I the last one? This stuff is pretty much gold. Barbara O’Neil talked about it a lot on the many, many, unending Tik Tok’s that I had flooding my feed for about a week. I got into a very crunchy algorithm. However, that has since passed and now I’m seeing mostly people who don’t like their neighbors. I really don’t understand how I end up where I end up on that app, but here we are… When I was back in my crunchy feed, I saw Barbara a lot. The same video about Castor Oil popped up several times. She talked about it being a detox and that it could help with a compress to pull out the junk in the body. I bought a bottle and hadn’t used it yet when yet another video came rolling through and I decided to just pull the trigger and try it.

I had not yet seen the warning videos. So, that night I really lathered that stuff on thick. I went under my eyes, in my belly button, and on the bottoms of my feet. I woke up and thought, you know, that does seem to have made my face a bit tighter and brighter. I also thought, wow, how did I end up with the flu over night? So, there that. Fast-forward and I finally came across a video with warnings of that being very common when you first start using it. It was quick and likely was the result of my body trying to just get the gross out, but it would have been nice to see that one coming.

I use Castor Oil as part of my nightly skin routine now. I don’t use nearly as much, but I do apply it under my eyes, on areas with lymph nodes, in my belly button and often on the bottoms of my feet. I feel like it has contributed to weight loss, definite skin improvements, and overall a feeling of wellness. If you are on a voyage to detox and being a bit more crunchy, this is an easy place to start. Make sure when you are purchasing your oil that you are doing your research for organic and properly packages products. Doing your research on what is best for you is key and like always, ask your doctor before you start anything new that might interact with or impede medications that you are already taking.
